About Jennifer
Jennifer is a graduate of The Randolph College for the Performing Arts musical theatre program. With years of experience as an actress and singer she made her entrance to the voice over world with several commercials including for Mattel’s Barbie and Monster High dolls. She voiced the Baby Ant reporter “Gooblee” for two seasons on the Kids CBC series “What’s Your News?”. This show was also a chance to hone new skills in dubbing to match previously recorded audio for the original British series on BBC. Several video games (Wrest VR, Flow Weaver VR) and the Audible series “The Darkness of Sunnypoint” have allowed her to create memorable and distinct characters. Jennifer has a love of story telling and a youthful, clear voice that lends itself to many styles of commercials, animation, video games, audiobooks and much more.

Jennifer brings great energy to her record sessions—both when the record light is on AND off. She adeptly painted a vivid picture in my mind of the character Leona whom she portrayed on the audible.com piece “Sunnypoint Chronicles”. Really enjoyed working with her.
We have worked with many voice-over artists, and our experience with Jennifer McDonald on our horror sci-fi game WREST stands out. Jennifer was an extremely experienced talent, and their professional approach towards their work gave us a great finished product.
Jennifer McDonald is a pro and a delight! I worked with her on “What’s Your News?” where she voiced the role of Gooblee Ant. As part of the news conceit of our show that featured real kids and animated reporters – correspond-Ants – we interviewed kids as ‘experts’ on the story. We always included a baby who gave its perspective on the news event, but talked in baby talk. Gooblee translated that baby talk into words that we could understand. It’s a goofy, silly and tender part and Jennifer did a great job with it. She was funny and sweet and stayed within a small age range necessary for the character voice. She took direction very well but made the part her own.
Jennifer’s voice was a perfect fit for my romantic comedy audiobook. She was such a pleasure to work with. I cherished her positive and upbeat attitude throughout the recording process. I can’t wait to work with her in the future!
